Vaṃśa Brāhmaṇa
Vaṃśa Brāhmaṇa of Kauthuma Śākhā of Sāmaveda has three Khaṇḍās. A detailed list of numerous Sāmaveda Ācāryas of past times is given. The earliest teacher of Sāmaveda, according to this Brāhmaṇa, is Kāśyapa, who is presented as the disciple of Agni, having studied Sāmaveda with Him.
