Jāiminīya  Saṃhitā has 1687 mantras, that is 182 less than the Kauthuma branch. There are significant differences when compared to the other recensions. This Śā́khā is also known as Talavakra Śā́khā. It is mainly divided into six parts namely Agneya Khaṇḍa, Aindra Khaṇḍa, Pavamāna Khaṇḍa, Āraṇya Khaṇḍa, Mahānamnyārcika and Naradiya Siksa. There are two distinct sub streams: the one prevalent in Central Kerala, the other in other parts of Kerala and in Tamilnadu especially in the Sri Rangam region.
