The Mādhyandina Śākhā is the main Śākhā of Śukla Yajurveda. It is the most prevalent Vedic Śākhā. This branch includes Mādhyandina Samhitā, Mādhyandina Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa, Īśavasya Upaniṣad and Brihadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad. Recitation of this Śākhā is prevalent in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and few other places in North India, Maharashtra and among Veda pandits of Gujarat. The Mādhyandina Śākhā contains 40 Adhyāyas, 303 Anuvākas and 1975 verses.
