The Vedic perspective is actually immense. A hymn calls human beings “Amṛtasya Putrah: in other words Children of Immortality. The path proposed by the Vedas for the progress of consciousness is infinite. Growing step by step through devoted Upāsanā, the children of immortality can grow in complete consciousness of the immortal being and finally become one with the Divine.
